I purchased a VMC2021P Arlo Pro 4 camera and SmartHub VMB4540 less than two years ago. Everything was working well so I decided to buy additional cameras to add to the system. This required a firmware update which subsequently broke functionality of the previous system. I returned the new cameras to the store and have tried to get the old system working again but with no luck. While I can generally navigate my way around the clunky app to find the hidden recordings, the key part that is inoperable is the automation. I can not set the camera to active or 'armaway/home' on an automated routine. I can manually activate the camera and it will turn off according to the automated routine but once it does that, the reactivation to 'arm away' is 'disabled'. If I want it to turn on at 6pm, I have to do it manually, and it will then turn off again to 'stand by' at 6am as per the schedule, but it will not turn on again as per the schedule. The schedule will be disabled. Is there anything that can be done or do I need to give up on Arlo products and by a whole new system from a different company. I would prefer to use the existing system as it was working perfectly well until the firmware update. It seems quite a waste of money and resources.

Not sure this is the issue but generally you need 2 operations to cause things to happen in the schedule (and geofencing). You need one to change the mode to say, Armed Away and then another to change the mode to Armed Home. Is that what you have? Screenshots of your modes and schedule may be useful. Any changes from default settings should be shown.
