Hi everyone,
I'm using an Arlo Pro 4 camera, and I've been having trouble with motion detection. Sometimes, it doesn’t pick up movement consistently, even when the sensitivity is set high. Other times, it detects minor motion, like tree branches moving, but misses actual people passing by.
Has anyone experienced similar issues? Are there any specific settings or troubleshooting steps I should try to improve detection accuracy?
Appreciate any advice—thanks in advance!

The camera uses a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to detect motion - it is not analyzing the video.  Motion detection range is spec'd at 25 feet (7.5m).

It will detect some motion further away (for example, vehicles), but not as reliably.

In general, it is more sensitive to side-to-side motion (across the field of view) than motion directly towards the camera.  It is also more sensitive to motion at the bottom of the field of view than it is at the top.
