I have a bunch of Arlo cameras and the latest version of the Aro-app for iOS, I have also 'upgraded’ my account for Arlo 5 Pro.

Is it any way to select which user that shall get notification on a certain camera? When I select 'Send message’ I can only select All, but not a user of my choice (I have two extra users on my account).

You only have the choice to send notification to yourself or everyone. You cannot choose certain people to send the notifications to. I will pass this on to our development team about the feature request.

I can only choose “Send to everyone”, not just to myself.

When the send to everyone is not marked it goes to the main account holder. So only the account holder will get the notification, not anyone who the devices are shared with.

when I uncheck that checkbox, the “send message” event disappears from that camera. Do I still get notified?

You will not, it is either to everyone or they are off. However, we have passed this on to our development team for a feature suggestion.

Still the same, upgraded my account not realising notifications get broken 😞

Can you explain more what you mean?

I realised that the option for device itself makes sense to have global notifications on.  What is needed is individual device notifications.  For my place I only want notifications from one device as my yo-yo of a mother constantly paths around the house.  So I keep the driveway on notify but everything else off.  That also means that other people can’t get notifications on the camera they prefer because it’s only a device option rather than user.

Does that make any sense hah

You can still do that with the new UI. You will need to go under routines and then you can pick which device you are wanting to make the routine for. You can choose from a lot of different options within that section. You can set them up under Arm Away, Arm Home or Standby whichever you prefer or all three. Once you start setting those up there is a notification option.

Yeah in those modes if I set notifications on, the only option is “to everyone” globally.
If a shared user goes in and wants notifications but only on a different camera then I also get those notifications because it’s global not individual.

That is correct there is no way to have it go to you individually. However, I will let the development team know that this is a feature request.

Any update on the feature request to allow notifications to select individuals vs. everyone?

There is no updates if/when the feature will be implemented. I will keep the community updated if there is any change.

Thank you for the response.  Based upon my experiences with Arlo, this means it will not likely be a feature that is implemented.  I wish Arlo put as much emphasis on developing features that improved the customer's experience as they do on generating more revenue.

You should be both getting notifications.

If one of you is using a "friend" account, then try using the primary login on both phones.
