Return lost camera to owner

While on a walk at work, I found a camera on the ground in the grass. I'm going to assume it was stolen from the owner. I'm trying to get the camera back to its rightful owner. If I provide information from the camera, can I get an email or something to reach out to the owner to return the device. 

The little flap that covers the charger port appears to have VMC2032 on it. The QR code is: A7D3197XA15F8

You can take it to a local lost and found if there is one in your area. We cannot provide any information pertaining to the found camera. But we do appreciate you trying that is very nice of you.
