I purchased Arlo 4 cameras and installed them at my vacation home. We lost power to the house for a short period of time that caused the router to reboot. Neither of the two cameras came back online. Is this normal and expected? If so, I’m going to return them.

Loss of power, depending on how long the loss was as well as the state of charge on any camera's battery, can cause the battery to deplete, trying to reconnect to the non-existent router (or hub). A brief power outage shouldn't cause a problem but a longer duration may which can be solved by using a UPS for your network to be connected to (loss of power kicks the UPS in, keeping your network alive so the cameras are still connected).
If you have remote access to your router set up, you can reboot the router to see if that helps. Otherwise, physical access is needed to check the cameras' batteries.

Hello,
Thank you for the quick response. It is good to know that the cameras should be able to handle a small electrical outage without losing connection to the router. That is the information I needed to hear thank you… RLANGE
