Hi All,

We purchased the Arlo Pro 4 Cameras last year and are still in the process of setting them all up around the yard.  We realised we needed to purchase a wifi extender so that the cameras would work where we wanted them.  We have set this up and now we cannot connect the cameras to this.

The wifi extender is using the 2.4Ghz settings but the cameras cannot be re-connected.  We have tried to connect 2 of the 4 cameras with the wifi extender and we cannot connect them and they are now showing as Offline.  I have removed 1 of the cameras but now can not re-connect this either using the wifi extender or the original wifi.

The other two cameras are still connected to the original wifi and are working fine.

Can anyone please shed some light on this.

You might also want to try resetting the camera you removed.

Make sure the wifi extender

  • is set to allow WPA2 (AES) security
  • has a network name without special characters/punctuation
  • has a network password without special characters/punctuation.

Also make sure the device you use for onboarding (phone or PC) is connected through the extender, and not your normal wifi while you are onboarding.
