Hi, I have one Arlo Pro 4 that is installed above my garage. Its primary purpose is to monitor anyone who comes up onto the drive or yard, and specifically catch anyone who messes (attempt break-ins, boredom, etc.) with the keypad entry to the  garage door.

Since the camera was installed a little over 1 month ago, we've had at least 2 attempts of people messing with the keypad, but the Arlo Pro 4 did not catch anyone in the act! The distance between the Arlo Pro 4 and garage door keypad is less than 25 feet. From the app, I have increased the sensitivity to 90 under "device settings --> device utilities --> motion detection test" for the front camera. How is changing this setting different than changing the setting under 'mode --> [camera name] --> armed --> rules: if motion on [camera name] --> if the following 'motion detected under [camera name] --> motion sensitivity"?  Given this camera isn't catching people in the act of messing with camera, will lowering the detection under 'mode' help? What is the difference between motion sensitivity under 'mode' versus under ' device utilities'? Thank you!

The key word is motion detection test.  That utility is only to make it easier for you to figure out what motion sensitivity is best for your situation.  That actual threshold is in the rules.
