I just want to do two things with my cameras.  I want to schedule them to turn on at 9pm and turn off at 8am every day.  No change.  Just all cameras on that schedule.  Why is this so hard?  I am just dumb?

I'm talking about doing this with the new system updates.

You need two schedule automations.  You can use these two as guides (just changing the sunset to 9 pm and sunrise to 8 am):

Pay particular attention to the "enable list" - which is right under the automation names.  You need this to be set to "Arm Home, Standby".  After creating this, but the system either into "Arm Home" (if you do this at night), or "Standby" (if you do it during the day).  The system should then follow your schedule.

Then when you go on vacaction, you can manually switch the system to "Arm Away".  The cameras will remain armed (not following the schedule) until you manually switch back to either "Arm Home" or "Arm Away".

Thank you for the reply.  My screen doesn't look like that exactly but I tried to set up my schedules like yours.  I did it last night after 8pm and after I had manually and individually armed the cameras so I don't know if it's correct.  To me, the way they have it set up is needlessly complicated.  I'm guessing most people are just regular everyday folks who don't want to have to go through a lot of steps and just want something simple and intuitive.  I'll report back on whether this solved my issue.  Thanks again!

If if doesn't work, please post your automation screenshots.

I agree that the automations are too hard, and that Arlo needs to provide something simpler.
