kumiko,
If you're having trouble scanning the QR code, take a look at the troubleshooting steps in this article: My Arlo device won’t scan the QR code when I am connecting it to a router; what do I do?

I had the same problem. I bought 3 Pro4 cams and started adding them to my WiFi network. The first two worked fine, recognized the QR code and successfully connected and did a firmware update. The third cam would not recognize the QR code. I knew there was nothing wrong with the phone brightness or size, so I went to the final troubleshooting suggestion: do a factory reset of the camera. That worked. I did a factory reset (remove case and press and hold the reset button for 15 sec, release when you see amber lignt), exited the Arlo app and restarted the add device sequence. QR code was recognized and I got a successful connection.
