I get an alert, but no video

I have no video. I get an alert, go to the app and all I can see is a screen shot. The Library is empty since I didn't subscribe to the monthly fee, but should't I be able to see a video of what caused the alert?

The video that caused the alert would be stored in the library. With no subscription, there is no stored video to see.
