I can see live video, I receive notification of motion on the camera but I have no videos in my library

Just started to install these - 3 cameras plus smart hub. I can see live video, I receive notification of motion on the camera but I have no videos in my library. I know it must be a setting or something because this seems off. I have a friend who has a Arlo system, different model and his works the way I expect mine too? What might be the cause?

Do you have a subscription for the cameras? (if the cameras are new, and you are in a country where Arlo offers subscriptions, then you should have automatically been opted into a trial subscription).
