I have the vmb45403 smart hub with a usb drive that recently complained it was corrupt.  it was about full - I put it in my Mac and deleted the videos and put it back in. It started saving to local storage but I no longer have any option in the app to do direct viewing of the storage.

I’m on the same wifi. I’ve logged out and back in. I’ve restarted the hub. I’ve had the hub format the usb. I’ve safely ejected the usb stick and reinserted it. Nothing works.
I don’t have the subscription anymore but I’m supposed to be able to do direct viewing from the app with this model and it was working - I don’t even see an option to do it now. Any help?

Which user interface (UI) are you using? The old UI should have a pull-down menu at the top to select local recordings while the new UI is a bit more hidden. Go to the hub's settings, select Storage Settings and local recordings are displayed.

I have the app on iPhone and it’s the latest version. Nothing in either place but it used to show in the hub storage settings I think when I had a cloud plan. I’m on my local wifi - the hub is attached via Ethernet to the same lan. If I remove the usb and attach to a pc the recordings are on it.

Attaching screen shots.

It appears that you're using the old UI that has Library to view videos. If so, is there a menu selection at the top of the library that allows you to choose whether you view cloud or local recordings? That's where you would find the local recordings.

I have a “feed” but no library and there is no pull down on the feed. See attached screen shots. I’m using this “Arlo Secure: Home Security” iOS app - latest version on iPhone 14 pro.

Thanks for the clarification. To see local recordings with the new UI (Feed) got to the hub's settings and then Storage Settings as shown in your second screenshot above. The videos should show there. Since they don't seem to be appearing, try rebooting both the hub and phone to see if that helps.

I was able to fix it by uninstalling the app, restarting my iPhone, reinstalling the app. Now the storage settings shows a list of videos👍
