Hi all,

I'm placing this on the Pro4 board as I believe it is the closest to resolving my problem.

Having lost all power to the house as a result of a Hurricane, with no near future reconnection.

I am looking at my Pro 4 cameras and wondering if I can connect it without a base station. Direct IP that is.  There seems to be mixed views on this.  Anyone any experience here?  When I could access the app, the installation process always insised on knowing of a base station, even as the cameras were connected to the internet.

I am thinking I may have to step outside the Arlo fold for this solution as I dont't want to be in this situation again.

Incidentally, all three outside cameras remained on their mounts throughout 165mph winds (cant say that for the solar panels). And it would have been great to observe/record the incidents including the looting.

Arlo Pro 4 can connect directly to a Wi-Fi connection they do not have to be on a basestation. However, they would need a solid Wi-Fi signal to be able to function correctly.
