Battery said to be at %, then 99%

  • I charged the camera battery to 100%. The next day, my phone app said it was at 0%. I brought it back into the house and put it on the charger, and the phone app said it was at 99%. Is this a failure of the battery or the phone app?

The various displays of the battery percentage have had problems over the years. Force closing the app may help (or just logging out and back in). Rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app can also be useful.
