Last week I charged the battery on one of my cameras. I have not turned it on to use it. It’s the closeted one to WiFi.
Yet, it’s down to 38%??? Plus my other cameras Barrie’s seem to be draining faster within the past week?

consistent theme and Arlo know the issue the outer cases terminal connections short due to electrolysis and prevent charging and drain battery very quickly. hence they sell the cases separately - crap design easy to test with meter and will find with nothing connected between the terminals have a resistance reading when they should be open circuit- Great product which would need a design tweek to easily solve- heaps of posts all been closed by forum moderator

"Off" does not mean off. It obviously still has to maintain connection so it can be turned back on. "Off" means it's not detecting or recording.

It’s turned off as in it’s not detecting & not recording.

One possibility is that the wifi signal is weak, so the camera keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. The camera will use quite a bit of power when it is actively looking for the wifi network to re-join it.

Yes, I know it takes a lot of power to go on and off. But just recently it’s been draining.
thank you

Maybe try moving it closer to the wifi (6-10 feet away) and see if the drain stops.
