So I had the internet drop out yesterday and the cameras would not reconnect automatically. I had tophysically remove the battery and start the sync process again.
Distance to router did not matter , I have one camera 5m away and one and 20m away . I had to do the above process to all 4 cameras .
Is this a known issue?

Generally, no. When you say the internet dropped out, do you mean the router had issues or the ISP? The cameras should remain connected to the router but the connection to the server would be lost until the internet was back up.
You might want to test by unplugging the router from the modem (or the modem from the ISP cable) to see whether this is repeatable.
