Case Number: 43538605
Subject: AA29277BD1A66_ Battery Drain_ 4.5 Ux3
Product: VMC4050P

I have 3 ARLO Pro4 cameras. One of the cameras will not hold a charge. The battery runs out in less than 24 hours. As an experiment I have set the motion detection to 20% / eliminated activity zones/ optimized power management setting and finally , actually disarmed the camera. IT STILL DRAINED THE BATTERY!!

THANK YOU !!

Have you swapped batteries between cameras to see if it's the camera or battery at fault? Have you swapped cameras around to see if it's the  camera or the location that's the issue? Poor connectivity between the camera and router or hub will cause this since the camera is struggling to maintain that connection. Swapping cameras around will help figure that out. House construction, distance, things on/in the walls blocking the signal, other wireless devices nearby that also use the 2.4GHz band (not just WiFi), etc. can all cause connection problems.

I have been real happy with my older Arlo cameras, but I bought four new Arlo pro four cameras and they’re basically useless because when we go on a vacation they are dead after five days… What a waste of money… Not good for Arlo!!
