Arlo Pro 4XL records audio all day!

My newly purchased Pro 4 records audio all day, even if it is not raining. Is there a way to stop audio recordings. I’ve tried every setting and still records audio.

1. If you have smoke/CO detection enabled in the smart notifications, then disable it.  Note that the camera has no smoke/CO detector - it is instead listening for the alarm from a nearby smoke detector.  If there is no smoke detector nearby, it is best to disable it.
2. Also, look in the "armed" mode for the camera and make sure "audio detection" is not checked. https://kb.arlo.com/42/What-are-modes-and-rules-and-how-does-Arlo-use-them
