My Pro 4 and Pro 3 cameras are currently connected through the smart hub.
I would like to create a separate mode for just one Pro 4 camera to be used as a fire/intruder alarm by detecting fire alarm noise AND intruder alarm noise (which means it hears the TV....) - preferably through the smart hub. It works A-OK detecting BUT I only want it active when geofencing is active.

First we need to know which user interface (UI) you're using. The old one shows Library to view videos while the new one uses Feed.

Both of these links are for the old UI but there's a link in them near the top for the new UI if needed.

I have Library. "About" lists version 4.3.5_28531 released 04/20/23.
I don't see a link to the new UI. Should it improve my understanding???
Reading the Library and Geofencing references it appears my problem is that I want to use that single device with away while all the others are now geofenced with away and scheduled through the hub. Is the only solution to remove it from the hub and connect direct?

There's no link to the new UI - it's a function of the age of the account as well as whether the latest hardware has been added (the Pro 5 or security system). Ultimately you will be migrated to the new UI but that's not the issue here.

You would need to create a custom mode that has only that one camera rule in it, configured as needed. Any camera without a rule is disarmed. You can then set geofencing to use that mode for Away. Use the schedule for Home.

Note your app supports both interfaces - which one you get depends on an account setting. Eventually you will get "Feed", but no need to rush it. There are bugs still being worked out.

No, that's not the only solution.
First you need to create a custom mode that does what you want (ignoring the geofencing and scheduling aspect). That mode will include rules for both cameras - including audio detection for the one you want to use for intruder alerting. (I am assuming you want both cameras to function when you are away, but only want to add audio detection to one of the cameras).
After you've tested that mode, then you just set up geofencing to use that custom mode instead of "armed" when you are "Away". You can also schedule it if you want.
