Arlo Pro 4 cameras - still unable to add directly to Unifi WiFi

I worked on this almost exactly two years ago and at that time I was able to come up with a workaround based on an even older post.  https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo-Pro-4/Arlo-Pro-4-cameras-unable-to-connect-to-app-on-2-4ghz-wifi/...

 

I just tried swapping the SSID of one of the cameras to a new 2.4Ghz SSID on the Unifi, and I'm having the exact same issue I had in 2022.  Is there a better method to get this working today?  

 

I also have 3 more of these that I bought in 2022 that I'd like to get set up for the first time, and this is painful since I no longer have the device I used to provide the connectivity last time.
