Did you run an app update recently? My Arlo app all of a sudden used up 8gb of mobile data and caused me $50 in overage charges

Are you using a cellular router? There's no reason that a Pro 4 would be using that much data unless you have a CVR subscription and the camera is plugged in. How are you determining that it's the app eating up all the data?

I think it relates to the Arlo app not stopping the live stream once you close the app.

There have been times when I've viewed the live feed in the app but closing the app didn't stop the feed in the background. I could still hear the audio playing in the background when i'm using other apps in Android.

I don't recall viewing the live feed yesterday but the app somehow caused almost 8gb in data and ran my battery down to nothing in about 5 hours.

I've seen a similar issue when leaving the app and at least the audio (and, apparently, the video) continuing. Haven't had that for a while but there have been various updates since then. What phone and OS as well as the app version? Rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app may be worthwhile.

Android app here has been reliably turning off live streaming, once the ARLO dashboard page has been switched away.

"Feed" version of the app here.

For this Livestream-in-the-background issue, go more details on app version, mobile device type?
