I wish there was a way to keep the system armed all the time with motion detection but to turn off notifications during specific hours. I have arlo in my offices and I want to record 24-7 to monitor action but I don't want notified every 10 seconds the entire day. I also want it on for security at night but with notifications on.

That's exactly what custom modes are for. Read the FAQs here on creating and modifying modes and rules. You'd want at least 2 modes, one with notifications on, the other without. Then use the schedule to automate the switching.
