Unfortunately, at the moment you can't.

So, is this planned to be made available in the near future? Reason I'm asking is to make a decision whether or not to keep my Arlo system and this feature is an important factor in my decision.

I have no idea, as I don't work for Arlo. 

Generally they don't pre-announce features, so I don't think the Arlo folks here will be able to tell you (either way).
