can I view auto saved videos from phone without subscription?

I have no subscription to Arlo. I want to view the videos that were automatically saved to the hard drive thats connected to the smart hub. Can I view videos from my phone? Or do I have to have arlo cloud to view easily from my phone?

If not, whats the best setup to easily view the videos for free? From phone would be ideal of course because its so handy compared to desktop.

You can use the app to view local recordings by selecting your base or hub that has the drive installed in the library view. You need to be on your home network to do this. To view while remote, you have to follow the procedure of setting up a VPN or use of port forwarding. That gives you access to the local network needed.
