VMB4540 with 5 Pro 3 cameras. 2 in the back appear to be out of range of the SmartHub. I have extended the range of the wifi network with some Netgear Nighthawk Mesh X4S Wall-Plugs but those haven't made a difference. How can I extend the range of the hub or do I need to get another hub to work in conjunction?

Yes you need to get another hub unless the other one can be relocated to a more central location.
