Hello,

I currently have a system with 3 Arlo Pro cameras, one of which is attached to a VMA4600 solar panel.

I would like to upgrade that camera to an Arlo Pro 3, which I see is compatible with my base station (VMB4000r3), however, I read that the solar panel is *not* compatible with Arlo Pro 3 cameras.

Is there really no way to use them together? Consider that I get enough power that the camera is almost always at 100% charge, so even if Arlo Pro 3 consumes more, I would expect it to get plenty of power anyway.

What is the reason why the VMA4600 is not compatible with the Arlo Pro 3? Is there any workaround?

Thanks,

Walter

No reasonable workaround since the older cameras use a microUSB  connection and the Ultra/Pro 3/Pro 3 floodlight all use a magnetic connection.

Thank you. So there's no adapter micro-USB to magnetic?

I guess the magnetic connector is proprietary?
