I have bought a new smart hub to replace my original base station. The new smart hub when plugged in to modem using same cables and port does not activate port light on  spark modem Hg659b although old non smart base does. As a result new smart hub does not show up on app. Done all resets and cable swaps. Talked to isp to confirm ports are open. Talked to Arlo support multiple times. Does anyone know what to try next? Even prior to app finding base station should the port light on modem not show up as per old base station? #smarthub #4050 #hg659b #spark

The light on the modem/router just indicates that the ethernet interface is active - it's not related to internet ports.

The ethernet port on the new smarthub might be be broken - in which case you should exhange it with the seller.
