Pro3 doesnt record 3 seconds prior to object coming into shot

Doesnt record 3 seconds prior to object coming into shot like it says it does on video reviews ive seen of them. Practically miss most the shot until there actually in plan sit

Do you have the camera plugged into AC power which is needed for this? Is it possible that the motion is simply being detected far too late, therefore the look-back isn't being useful?

jguerdat is correct. It will only do that if you're running on ac power.
