Hi,

Once my free subscription is finished I don't plan to continue. I just want local recording. That being said, would I still need to connect the hub to the router if I only want local recording?

Thanks

Yes. The only way to record locally is by having the camera connected to a base or hub.

Thank you.

But does the base/hub needs to be connected to the router (to the internet)? I will probably lose the feature of notifications on my phone if there are alerts, but will the local recording still work?

Thanks again.

Without an Internet connection you won't be able to monitor or manipulate the system. Local recordings would still work but you'd have to eject the drive (unsafely since you wouldn't be able to use the Safely Eject selection in the app, possibly leading to a corrupt drive) to see any videos on a computer.
