I recently purchased an Arlo Pro3 with base station VMB4540 with (2) Pro3 cameras. In setting it up, I noticed my cameras is on the other side of my home (about ) would consistently connect and disconnect from the base station.
I read the support blogs and it seems I need a "Wifi Extender". My wifi network is 802.11ac 5GHz throughout my home.
With the need for the base station (VMB4540) requiring an ethernet connection to work, can you advise which product would you recommend for this base station?
FYI - I have already tried Linksys Wifi extender (AC750) and it failed to connect to my network. I found a Netgear (at the time I found one without a ethernet port) so of course it didn't work with VMB4540.
Can someone recommend Arlo's recommended solution for this problem?

For larger areas and distances it would be nice if it were possible to extend the Arlo base unit signal to the cameras, I have not found anything out thee that will boost or extend the base station signal.
The base station has to be visible in an almost direct line for optimum results.
Boosting or extending the wifi signal only improves the signal to the base station, does not boost or improve the base station signal to the cameras.

So I have to run an external cable.down the hallway, plugged in to the hub and the "wireless" wifi extender?
No. The wireless extender bridges the connection to your router using it's WiFi. The wireless extender needs to have ethernet out (most do). You connect the base with a short cable to the wireless extender.
Note you do need to place the extender in a spot
- where it receives a good signal from the router
- and where the base can deliver a good signal to the camera(s)
Another option here is to use a pair of powerline networking adapters.
