I would like to use geofencing in a way that allows my outdoor cameras to always be on, but my indoor cameras to shut off when I am at home. You should be able to pick cameras that are used for geofencing.
A workaround now would be to buy another Hub and separate my outdoor and indoor surveillance...

Hi Surv,
What you can do is create custom modes where your outdoor cameras is armed and your indoor cameras are disarmed and then put that mode set as for "Home Mode". You can read more about custom modes here: How do I create a mode with different rules? and How does Arlo Geofencing work and how do I set it up?
