Geofencing not available on iphone 11

I'm enabling geofencing using my Android phone ok. I also need it to work with my wifes iPhone 11. There is no geofencing option available in the mode section of the app on the iPhone. I've enabled location sharing etc. It also won't let me add the base hub in the camera view. All works well on my Samsung.
