Does the Arlo Pro 3 Camera require a cloud subscription to record? My older model Pro cameras do no

My older model Arlo Cameras will record and send me an email at no charge.  Recordings are saved for 7 days if I wish to download to my computer.  Then they are erased. My new Arlo Pro 3 Camera does not do this.  When going into settings, the Record area is grayed out.  Let me know if there is a way I can get this device to act like my older models without obtaining a subscription.  Thanks!

There isn't.

Arlo stopped offering the 7-day free cloud recording in 2018 (starting with the Ultra).  All of the newer cameras require a subscription for cloud storage.

Thanks for the info.  If you purchase an older level camera, does that still have the ability to store for 7 days?

Yes.  You could add another Pro 2 (up to 5 cameras).
