Does Arlo pro 3 still record if notifications are off?

I have my Arlo pro 3 camera setup with Apple HomeKit. I want to receive notifications only at night time through the Apple Home app. If I turn off notifications in settings for Arlo, will it still record if it detects vehicles or people when HomeKit alerts me of something?

It should unless Homekit is screwing things up
