I had the issue of not being able to change Audio sensitivity under modes settings,
I figured it out and wish to share with with the community,
It is being grayed out if you selected " Smoke/CO Alarm alert to On" position-- you can find it in the "Smart Notification Settings" , and once this is selected you lose the ability to change audio sensitivity yourself, because it takes propriety ( overrides) in the algorithm, hence it is grayed out.
If you wish to change the Audio Sensitivity yourself, you need to
1-Go to Smart Notification Settings under modes settings
2-Turn off Audio Alerts
You are ready now to change the Audio Sensitivity to whatever you like.
I hope you will find this helpful because it took me some time to figure this out.

Do this from the app only, it is hard to change the Smart Notification Settings on a computer.
