I brought the Pro 3 a couple 9f weeks ago and ha e charged the batteries to there full amount. Within a week all my cameras are saying that they need charging. Now I thought the batteries are ment to last 6 months without charging but that doesn't seem to be the case and that was the reason why I brought the wireless cameras due to there long battery life so wouldn't think that after a week the batteries would die and need charging so much. Quite disappointed in how the batteries are and having to charge them every week can you please tell me why this is

I know they say that, but I think for most people it is overstated.  FWIW, competitors are doing the same thing.

I get about 6 weeks with the normal size batteries, and a lot longer with the XL (but still not 6 months).

What you get largely depends on two factors

  • the amount of video streaming being done from the camera
  • the power needed for wifi (frequent connection drops will kill the battery)

How much video streaming is going on (approx minutes per day)?  If you are using activity zones, you need to disable them to check this.  The activity zones are processed in the cloud. The cameras will stream when there is motion outside the zone, but you won't be able to tell how often that happens.
