Blue light flashes really fast in and out when I am trying to charge the battery. The battery will not charge now because of the blue light flashing. I have tried to connect it to the wifi and it won’t connect. The camera was working fine and then this started happening.

Normally that means the camera has just paired to your base (or joined your wifi).  https://kb.arlo.com/642/What-do-the-different-LED-behaviors-on-my-Arlo-camera-mean

  • Does the LED stop blinking after a couple of seconds, or does it continue as long as the charger is connected?
  • Are you using the outdoor charger (magnetic cable), or are you using the microUSB connection inside the camera shell?
  • Is the camera on-line (when you aren't charging)?
  • Have you tried removing/reinserting the battery?

The light continues when the battery is being charged. I am using the usb charger. I’ve reinserted the battery and still nothing.

Mine is doing similar. I’m trying to charge, when I plug it in I see the blue light flashing rapidly for a few seconds then it stops.
I can’t connect to my floodlight at all. Tried factory reset and still can’t connect. Any ideas what could be happening?

Thank you,

Joao.

That part is normal.

While most Arlo cameras are fully operational when charging, the Floodlight is an exception.

It is fully operational when you use the outdoor charger.  But not when you use microUSB.  BTW, it will not charge if you use an indoor charger a the magnetic cable.

Are you able to connect with the charger removed?

I don’t understand your question. But I noticed my device was not connected so I figured it would be because the battery died. I took it off and plugged it in the micro usb charger with the charger that comes with it.
After leaving it charging for the full night, the next day I still can’t connect to it, and I am not plugged in the outlet anymore. It just would connect. Tried resetting a couple of times.
This is so frustrating.

That was the answer to the question (assuming you meant to say "not connect").

Generally it's a good idea to start by removing/reinserting the battery.  Then proceed to reset, if that fails.

When you say "reset" - were you following this procedure? https://kb.arlo.com/000062438/How-do-I-factory-reset-my-Arlo-wire-free-camera

If so, where did the procedure fail?

Yes. NOT connect. Sorry.

I’ve removed the battery, and performed the reset as described in the link you posted.

Ok.  I am thinking that everything worked, except the final step of adding it to the account?

Were you connecting to a base station, or your home WiFi?  If the latter, did you hear the chime when you scanned the QR code?

I was able to re add the device. I am connecting to my home WiFi. I do hear a chime, I do see the device in the app, but it just doesn’t connect
It shows :
“Your Arlo device appears to be offline”

Try removing and then reinserting the battery, and see if it comes on-line.
