Hey all! I recently upgraded from the Pro to the Pro3. WOW! What an improvement! One thing I am looking forward to is utilizing the three second look back feature. My old Arlo Pro was able to be run completely on AC using the Wasserstein outdoor cable. I have the same thing again for the Arlo Pro3, but it doesn’t want to run off just the power cable alone, it seems to only run with the battery in it. Will the three second look back work? Also, should it be this way? Or is there an issue with my cable? 🤔🤔

The Pro and Pro3 use diff batteries and use different charge adapters.

Let me clarify: I have an outdoor cable specifically for the Pro3. I suppose I have a two part question.
1. How do you activate the three second look back feature?
2. Can the camera operate on the outdoor cable only?
I tried using the cable only last night. The blue led and IR would turn on, I would hear a clock, then it would turn off. This would constantly repeat until I installed the battery.

1. AC power is how to activate the 3 second look back.
2. Yes, you shouldn't need a battery. I recommend leaving the battery in so the camera will still work during a power outage but be sure to also have a UPS for your modem, router and hub.
