My Arlo Pro 3 SmartHub was able to connect to a Fioptics network at my parent's house, however it can't discover the base station in my condo with Spectrum wireless router. Is there some kind of setting in Spectrum that prevents me from connecting to Arlo. By the way, I have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless network setup. My understanding is that Arlo automatically uses 2.4GHz, but I tried both with no luck. I even tried the factory reset, it still doesn't work. The solid blue light is on.

If it still works at your parents' house (try it again to be sure), it pretty much points to a local network issue. ISPs have been known to have settings that can block Arlo in their routers so you may need a service call to them to get it figured out.

Just an aside - a while ago I took an old base and some cameras to another house with a Spectrum router. When it couldn't be detected, I tried resets, power cycles of both the router and base, etc. with no luck. Calling Spectrum to see if they had anything set to block Arlo was fruitless. I grabbed another base and tried that and - it worked! Sometimes you just have to cover all the bases (no pun intended)...

Assuming you mean you held the reset button for >10 seconds, until the LED flashed amber, be sure to also remove everything from Settings, My Devices. Then try again.

BTW, Arlo has no bearing on your WiFi unless you are trying to connect specific cameras to your WiFi (not all cameras do and you're using a hub so it doesn't matter).

Yes, I did, still no luck. In fact, I called the support number, and I was told to replace the base station after a few tries. I don’t think there is a problem with the device as I was able to connect at my parents’ house.

Thanks much for your insight and recommendation. I will try again at my parents' house first to see if it still works before I call Spectrum. If it still doesn't work, I will get the base station replaced. Will report back the outcome this weekend!

As promised, I am providing an update on my situation. Spectrum technical support tried a few teaks, but still couldn't figure out the issue with connection, so I bought another Pro 3 set with 2 cameras from Costco, it worked in the first attempt in my condo. I ended up giving the original set of equipment to my parents as they worked there to save the hassle of returning them.  Mystery still exists ob why the second base station is different from the 1st one.
