After a recent firmware update I noticed that my cameras did not appear to be detecting motion.  I tried all the 'fixes" I could find but ended up resetting everything to factory defaults and starting from scratch.  The problem appeared to persist.  I finally took a look at the captures from my base station external storage.  Everything was there.  The cameras were detecting motion just fine but the Arlo app was not displaying the last image captured like it used to.  I now question if the firmware update had anything to do with it.  I know Arlo backtracked on providing 7 days of free cloud storage but not display the last 7 minutes seems extreme.

Does anyone know if this is intentional on Arlos part or is there a bug in the App?

If you believe your cameras are not detecting motion, take a look at your local storage before doing any 'fixes'.

If you are talking about the thumbnail displayed on the devices and dashboard pages, then this is a known issue (and is seen on current cameras also).

That is what I am talking about.  Thank you very much for the reply.  I hope this saves people doing a lot of work for an issue they cannot fix.  Any idea on when a resolution can be expected, or a thread that I can follow?

Thanks again.

Is this occurring on the mobile app or the web portal? You said updated firmware, are you referencing a device update or the Arlo app updates?

Web portal.  I believe it was a device update.  I only recall that I was checking the charge level of the cameras and was charging them.  I think I got a message that a firmware update was required and that I should connect them to power.
