Arlo Pro 3 / Arlo app 4.0.3

I have all my Arlo cameras recording video to a local 200G usb device installed on the back on my VMB4500 base station (which has a hard wire connection to my Ethernet).  I have three Arlo Pro 2’s and one Arlo Pro 3.  All of the cameras are hard wired with power and are connected to my base station with Arlo wifi only.  All of the Arlo Pro2’s and Arlo 3 record to the usb device without a problem.  I can see and retrieve the Arlo 2 videos in the app however, I can’t get the Arlo Pro 3 video to show up in the Arlo app after recording.  I can see and play all Arlo 2 and Arlo 3 videos when I connect my usb to the computer.  The Arlo 3 videos are not showing up in the app.  I will not be getting a subscription for any cloud services.  I want all Arlo cameras recording to my local usb device.  I tried the following:

• rebooting the router,
• rebooting the base station
• rebooting the camera
• disconnecting the usb and putting it back in cd
• Reset  the Arlo 3 by removing the Arlo 3 camera and adding it back to the account
• Reset the Arlo 3 by pressing the sync button
• tried varying all of the video settings (auto HDR, local 2k live, auto zoom, etc.)
• verified motion detection and live streaming is working
• all cameras have strong wifi signal
• no smart functions are being used
• reformatted usb using Arlo formatting function

Why can’t I see the Arlo Pro 3 files on the usb device using the Arlo app?

The VMB4500 Base station will not support in app direct access to the USB backup storage device.
