Hi,
Sorry that my first post is starting off on a negative note, but this system has been nothing but frustrations. Several years in, I feel still like a beta tester rather than someone who paid over $1k on the system and cameras. That being said, when it does work properly, it works well.
My latest issue has to do with geofencing, which has been rather problematic on and off in the past. We have the Arlo Pro 3 system with 7 cameras and base unit. I have the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and my wife has the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Her previous phone was the Galaxy Note 10. I am the primary account and she has full access to all cameras and geofencing. With my phone and her old phone, it reported it's location correctly any time she left the area and came back to the area, and geofencing was turned on and off as it should. The S22 Ultra does not automatically report location. Usually it just doesn't register, so that when I leave, the system switches to "armed" when it should be disarmed. The only solution is for her to reboot her phone, or sometimes just opening the app works.
In order to avoid repeating things that I have already done, here is what I tried:
The app has all of the correct location permissions set (location set to allow all the time), the app has power save disabled, the app is unrestricted from running in the background, the app does not sleep. I have tried logging out and back in, I have tried to clear all data and re-log in again, I have removed her phone from geofencing and re-enabled it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, the app is on the latest version, and her phone is on the latest firmware. I have restarted the base station as well.
Long story short, her phone is on the exact same Android version as mine, and everything is set exactly as it is on mine. My phone works correctly and her's does not. I am inclined to believe that the issue is specific to her device. If anybody has any advice or can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks for all your help.

This may be the same issue I had recently. For multiple phones to work properly in geofencing, both apps MUST be logged in or GF will do as you find. I had added my wife's phone but she rarely uses the app so the app eventually logged her out (the token expired). Making sure that the app is logged in on both devices fixes the problem.

Thank you. I did think that may have been the case (it was in issue in the past), and it does seem to register when I open the app on her phone. But this is occurring so often that she would have to open the app every few hours. I can understand every few days, but not this often. It is behaving as if the app is sleeping in the background, although it is set to always be awake. It's almost like something about the firmware of the S22 Ultra that is not behaving well with the app.
