We have had an Arlo Pro 3 set of four cameras installed for the last 2 years, and generally they have worked fine. Recently, we have been having a lot of problems where we are receiving a vast number of notifications of events from the cameras (sometimes well over 1,000 notifications) and the batteries in the cameras are lasting a matter of a few days.

We have tried reducing the movement sensitivity to 10%, set up activity zones so that areas where we do not want to have recorded can be ignored and we have reset cameras back to factory settings - all to no avail.

It seems if something has changed, but none of the camera locations has changed, nor has the base unit.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I am for instance getting alerts from my camera in my garden pretty much every minute, yet when I watch the clips there is nothing going on in the garden at all.

I am happy to reset all the cameras and start again, but I just don’t know what’s happened!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Mark.

I'd start by resetting one camera again, and see if that tames the alerts for that camera.

A frequent problem is the sun's IR reflecting off leaves, etc. Don't forget that the sun's angle changes with the seasons so what's fine for some periods may not be optimal for others. Reducing sensitivity in your modes and rules (NOT the motion test) is the best idea but repositioning the camera may also be needed.
