I have a five camera system with Arlo 2's. I need a couple more cameras and was considering purchasing the Arlo 3's. Are they compatible?  In other words, can I add the Arlo Pro 2's to the Smart hub of the Pro 3?

Yes if you upgrade to the Pro3 Smart Hub the Pro2 cams will work with that. Also your base with Pro2 will work with Pro3.

The question is not just compatibility, but the account you have to use.

Pro 2 cameras come with free seven-day could support. In your shoes I would ensure that adding two more cameras does not wipe out the my free access with the five cameras.

The new cameras will not have the same free access. After a trial period – length depends on what you buy – you will need to pay for cloud access.

I'd check this:

Arlo subscription plans and cloud recording
