Is it true that Arlo forces you to pay for a subscription in order to use activity zones? This is one of the main reasons I purchased these cameras and without the use of zones they are trash.

No. You can use activity zones without a subscription if you have "always on" power to the cameras.
What are activity zones and how do I create them?
How do I troubleshoot problems with Arlo activity zones?

I understand they work if you have electrical at the camera locations. However I purchased these cameras specially because I don’t have power. I even purchased the solar power units so the batteries are always charged. Without the use of zones though the cameras are junk and Arlo should have noted in this feature that they will rip you off for a monthly fee to use it.
Explain to me what he difference is from electric power using zones and always solar charged using zones other than Arlo making money? Otherwise I say Arlo sucks!

Solar panels charge the batteries. They do not provide permanent power. (Remember, the sun goes down at night.)
Looks like you made a bad buying choice. Did you look at the box?

Yeah I did my research Arlo conveniently left out the part about requiring a subscription for battery powered cameras. You’re correct though purchasing Arlo cameras was a mistake.
Even though the sun goes down the solar power has never allowed my cameras lower than 70% so again explain to me the difference between continuous electric power and continuous battery power when it comes to the use of zones except for the Arlo rippoff?

They can't put every detail on the box and Arlo documentation does state that.

It is down to science.
If you don't get that, and don't want to do a lot of research, then investigate alternatives. You may find one that breaks the laws of physics including entropy and the conservation of energy, and electrochemistry.
