Only half of the activity area triggers recording and movement detection (the bottom half).
Anyone have experience with this?

If you use the camera positioning test in the camera settings you'll see the upper third is darkened, indicating that motion won't be detected there. I suspect that's due to various things including the wide angle of the view which leads to the distance to the object in that area. The PIR sensor detects people out to ~25 feet and that shaded area may well be beyond that distance. It's also possible that software is also at play.
