I have a Pro Base Station Three-LED VMB4000 with some cameras and a Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera

Following a reset of the hub, I could not reconnect the floodlight.

I didn't remove it before the reset.

Now it won't charge the battery and even with a fully charged battery, (from a new floodlight) it will blink blue once when the battery goes in and then stop responding.

Holding the reset button for 15 secs or more does nothing.

Any ideas, before I stick it to the recycling bin?

Thanks

Is "add device" not finding the floodlight at all?

If not, where is the workflow failing?

Hello Stephen

The device cannot be found. The app is trying but no luck and times out.

And this is at the very beginning of the workflow?

Yes.

And the device has blue led on.

No matter how much I press the reset button or how long I had the battery off it will not work.

The LED will turn blue for a couple of seconds after the battery is in but nothing more.

Also the camera cannot charge the battery, neither with the micro usb or the magnetic cable.

Can I also add that the light turns on when there is movement, so I guess it might still be stuck in armed mode from before I reset the hub. Any to reset it if the sync button doesn't work?

None that I know of.

You could try Arlo support if you have a subscription.  No replacement if it's not covered by warranty, but they still might offer a discount.

Thanks again for the quick response Stephen.

  1. They said that a low battery might cause issues. But mine is full amd it still doesn't work. Might keep it as a floodlight 😄
