I bought the Arlo Pro 2 last Christmas and would like to hardwire two of the cameras outside, but I see that the Arlo brand outdoor power cables were recalled. Has the issues been fixed yet, and will the cables that are now available on Amazon and Best Buy be the new ones? If so, is that all I need to do the job? My front porch is very large with a large overhang, so I don't think moisture will be "too" much of an issue, but I still want it to be safe and hardwired in for continuous videotaping.
Thanks.

The current 8-foot black power cable available on Amazon is good to go. I have a powered Alro Pro 2 outside utilizing one of these and am not experiencing any problems with moisture penetration. If you happen to be plugging it into an outdoor outlet rather than through your wall, be sure to use a weatherproof, in-use outlet cover. I'm using the Taymac MM420C, which can be purchased on Amazon as well and does the trick. There are many others as well.
