arlo pro 2 is the Base Station Required?

Does this camera operate without a base station? Can I use my iphone to access video?

Just like the Arlo Wire-Free, and Arlo Pro, The Arlo Pro 2 requires the included (in kit SKUs) base station to operate. This allows your cameras to use a special low-power secure WiFi channel.

If you install the Arlo App on your iPhone you can access videos and watch a live view from all Arlo cameras on your account.

It's the same dedicated WiFi that's been used on all Arlo wirless cameras and bases.
