Over the Winter two of my cameras depleted the batteries, which was not unexpected as the Sun rotated away from the solar panels. Will the solar panels charge the dead batteries or do I have to take the batteries out and and charge them from household current. The panels are currently getting direct light but the batteries are not charging.

There's an FAQ here on charging totally dead batteries. Basically it's a matter of plugging it in something like 6 times to get enough charge in the battery to allow a full charge. Sounds like the solar panel won't work here.
